Thogus Products is a manufacturing company that was rooted in injection molding. In 1997, they felt the stress of a disintegrating economy and knew they needed to expand their business.
With the help of Stratasys Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) systems, Thogus was able to realign their focus to small-volume modeling and highly engineered materials. They kicked off the change with the purchase of two Fortus 400mc 3D printers, allowing them to stay competitive thanks to their new lean manufacturing process.
Thogus is not a company to slow down though, they kept adding machines and materials, expanding their technology and their business. Before even unwrapping their first machine, Stratasys helped them win a deal that paid for the 3D printer. In two years of owning the technology, Thogus' revenue increased over 76%.
